HAFA program begins today!!

The new HAFA (Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternative) program begins today April 5, 2010!

Although not all the lenders are signed up for the program and it certainly has its flaws for those that qualify it promises to be an excellent way to short sell an Arizona home!

Last night at midnight we sent in what we believe to be the first HAFA contract in Arizona submitted to the lenders! It was a client of ours that we have had listed for a few days and received an offer in the first week.

Our client seems to fit the HAFA bill exactly so we just couldn’t wait until morning — plus we wanted to be the first real estate agent in Arizona to send in a HAFA contract!!

We’ll keep everyone up-to-date on the program as well as how our client’s deal goes.
